About Tami

Tami Cardnella - Biography

An artist of note working in various mediums Tami began her

Career as a decorative artist, whose painted furniture has won national acclaim, selling to both private and public collectors.  On a whim Tami made oils her focus after a friend invited her to an oil painting class and simply fell in love with it all over again.  She found greater creative freedom as she began working in oils, and has since wholly devoted herself to this medium.  Tami has studied with many nationally known instructors including Albert Handell and Kenn Backhaus who have taken a special interest in her work.

Tami's work has been featured as such prestigious art shows as the Telfair Museum's Art Fair, Low Art Museum's Beau Arts, Boca Raton Museum Arts Festival and the Coconut Grove Arts Festival.  Her work is currently represented by the Fountainside Gallery in Wilmington NC.

Born in the late fifties Tami can boast of having lived in nearly every area of her country. "Following my father's career opened my eyes to the fact that every place has its own unique beauty."  Still an avid traveler, Tami finds inspiration for her widely varied subjects both near and far. A wife and mother of two, Tami operates a successful 'teaching studio' in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina
